European shares gyrate their way to a mostly higher close as the ECB leaves rates on hold and doesn't yet tip another rate cut in February. Stoxx 50 +0.5%, Germany +0.6%, France flat, Italy +2%, Spain -0.1%, U.K. -0.3%. The euro squeezes a few shorts, +1% at $1.2830
