Baidu (BIDU): Q2 EPS of $1.26 beats by $0.14. Revenue of $858.8M (+59.8% Y/Y) beats by $8M. Expects Q3 revenue of $983M-$1.01B vs. $988M consensus. Shares +6.6% AH

 

Texas Instruments (TXN): Q2 EPS of $0.38 misses by $0.03. Revenue of $3.34B (-4% Y/Y) misses by $5M. Sees Q3 EPS $0.37 - $0.42 per share, below consensus estimates of $0.50. Shares -1% AH.

VMware's Q2: Unearned revenue balance +3% Q/Q and +10% Y/Y to $2.94B. The Nicira acquisition represents an expansion by the server virtualization kingpin into networking software. Nicira's software-defined networking (SDN) solution, which manages third-party switches using commodity hardware, has become a thorn in Cisco's (CSCO) side, and bolsters VMware's efforts to be a top IT infrastructure management vendor. But the Street doesn't like the price. VMW-2.4% AH
