Asian, European shares suffer following sharp Wall Street losses

• Japanese stocks lead Asian shares lower after sharp losses on Wall Street yesterday as the rout in tech and biotech stocks resumed.
• European shares are also down, although U.S. stock futures are flat-to-higher.
• "As market sentiment worsens in the U.S., investors tend to focus on negatives, creating a downward spiral," says strategist Juichi Wako.
