EU shares move higher

• European shares are higher and recovering from losses yesterday, boosted by earnings results and possibly the fragile but continuing recovery in eurozone business activity. Investors are also awaiting an ECB monetary policy decision tomorrow and U.S. nonfarm payrolls on Friday.
• EU Stoxx 50 +0.7%, London +0.1%, Paris +0.8%, Frankfurt +0.3%, Madrid +0.4%, Milan +0.5%.
• Asian shares are mixed, with Japan rising 0.8% and China falling 0.8%. Hong Kong was flat and India dropped 0.4%.
• U.S. stock futures: Dow +0.4%. S&P +0.5%. Nasdaq +0.4%
