Yahoo's (YHOO) Q4 earnings call, new CEO Scott Thompson has talked about wanting Yahoo to "balance" its identities as a media and technology company, and to speed up product development. Thompson, an ex-CTO, also talks about making better use of Yahoo's huge volumes of user data. Investors, however, are paying more attention Yahoo's revenue miss. Shares -0.6% AH.
Nvidia (NVDA) drops 3.3% AH after warning it expects FQ4 (ends Jan. 29) revenue of $950M, plus or minus 1%, below a Street consensus of $1.06B. Nvidia blames the hard drive shortages and price hikes caused by Thai flooding, and a decline in sales for the Tegra 2 (used in many high-end Android tablets).
