Apple (AAPL): FQ1 EPS of $13.87 beats by $3.79. Revenue of $46.33B (+74% Y/Y) beats by $7.5B.: 37.04M iPhones shipped vs. 30.2M consensus and 34M whisper number. 15.4M iPads vs. 13.2M consensus. 5.2M Macs vs. 5M consensus. 15.4M iPods vs. 15.5M consensus. Company guides for FQ2 revenue of $32.5B ($32B consensus) and EPS of $8.50 ($8.03 consensus), Apple (AAPL): FQ1 gross margin was 44.7%, up 780 bps Q/Q and 620 bps Y/Y. Not counting Apple stores, Americas revenue +92% Y/Y, Europe +55%, Japan +148%, Asia-Pac +54% (delayed China iPhone launch). Retail revenue +58%, up from just 1% in FQ4. Ended quarter with $97.7B in cash and investments. AAPL has resumed trading, up 8.8%

Apple's blowout earnings push a bevy of supply chain shares higher AH: TQNT +7.9%, NUAN +6.8%, CRUS +6.1%, ZAGG +5.5%, BRCM +3.7%, SNDK +2.9%, SWKS +2.9%

Supertex (SUPX): FQ3 EPS of $0.07 beats by $0.05. Revenue of $14.1M (-29% Y/Y) in-line. Shares +3.1% AH.

Marten Transport (MRTN): Q4 EPS of $0.35 beats by $0.07. Revenue of $158.3M (+16% Y/Y) in-line. Shares +2.8% AH.

Fusion-io's (FIO) FQ2: Gross margin for quarter was 51%, down 770 bps Y/Y. Expects FQ3 revenue of $85M and gross margin of 50%, expects FY12 revenue growth of 65%-70% (prior guidance of 55%) and gross margin of 54%-56% (prior guidance of 56%). Expects FY12 operating margin of 8% (prior guidance of 6%-8%). FIO -11.2% AH.

Altera (ALTR): Q4 EPS of $0.45 beats by $0.03. Revenue of $457.8M (-18% Y/Y) beats by $10M. Shares -3.3% AH
 
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): Q4 EPS of $0.19 beats by $0.03. Revenue of $1.69B (+2% Y/Y) in-line. Shares -2.6% AH. 

Yahoo's (YHOO) Q4 earnings call, new CEO Scott Thompson has talked about wanting Yahoo to "balance" its identities as a media and technology company, and to speed up product development. Thompson, an ex-CTO, also talks about making better use of Yahoo's huge volumes of user data. Investors, however, are paying more attention Yahoo's revenue miss. Shares -0.6% AH.

Nvidia (NVDA) drops 3.3% AH after warning it expects FQ4 (ends Jan. 29) revenue of $950M, plus or minus 1%, below a Street consensus of $1.06B. Nvidia blames the hard drive shortages and price hikes caused by Thai flooding, and a decline in sales for the Tegra 2 (used in many high-end Android tablets). Archrival AMD just reported weak sales for its PC graphics chip business
