Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX +6.1%) lands FDA approval for its cystic fibrosis drug Kalydeco for patients over 6 years of age. Shares immediately spiked higher on the news - taking back ground lost yesterday after the firm's 2012 sales estimates for Incivek came in light.

Edwards Lifesciences (EW +5.4%) shares surge to the top of the S&P after a study shows elderly patients receiving its Sapien heart valve implanted through the ribs as part of an expanded access program reaped more benefit than those observed in initial trials. Cannacord, which rates shares a Buy, thinks the data will ease FDA concerns, and raises its target price to $95 from $90

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX)-Netflix, Inc. (NFLX)  was down day on Tuesday.Netflix Inc (NFLX) has resistance area $125 and support at $118.I will buy under $100 again any market correction

Baidu, Inc. (BIDU)-Share of Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) is trading under $127.Baidu Inc will have major resistance up $130 and support level is $110.

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN)-Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) is trading under $195.AMZN will have resistance at $200 & support as $165 which is buy level.Amazon's (AMZN) Q4 results are due out after the bell, with analysts expecting EPS fell 79.1% to $0.19 due to the company's prodigious spending. Revenues are seen +41% to $18.2B. Investors will be looking out for sales of the Kindle Fire, for which Stifel Nicolaus has predicted 6M vs. Apple's 15.4M

Below is a list of some of the story stocks to watch for January 30, 2011 

Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (EW) rose 5.4 percent to $82.49 and climbed to $83.81 earlier, the highest intraday price since July 21. Elderly patients getting the company’s Sapien heart valve implanted through the ribs as part of an expanded access program reaped more benefit than those observed in the initial trials, a study found.

Hologic Inc. (HOLX) rose 8.7 percent, the most in the Russell 1000 Index, to $20.87. The Bedford, Massachusetts-based maker of X-ray systems raised its 2012 profit forecast to as much as $1.38 a share, more than the average analyst estimate of $1.36 a share.

Mattel Inc. (MAT) gained 5.6 percent to $31.18 and advanced to $31.40 earlier, the highest intraday price since December 1998. The maker of Barbie dolls reported fourth-quarter profit of $1.07 a share, excluding some items, beating the $1 average analyst estimate.

Paccar Inc. (PCAR) climbed 4.2 percent to $46.02 after jumping to $46.63, the highest intraday price since July 25. The truckmaker reported fourth-quarter earnings of 91 cents a share, exceeding the 79-cent average estimate by analysts.

Parexel International Corp. (PRXL) surged 14 percent to $23.30 and rallied 17 percent earlier, the most intraday since January 2010. The tester of experimental medicines for drugmakers forecast third-quarter earnings of as much as 32 cents a share excluding some items, above the average analyst estimate of 30 cents a share, according to a Bloomberg survey.
