Achillion (ACHN +6.5%) discloses positive proof-of-concept results for ACH-3102 for treating chronic hepatitis C viral infections (HCV). The company has now initiated a phase II study for the drug. Achillion is hosting an analyst day today, with a live Webcast beginning at 1:00 pm ET.

Novartis' (NVS +1%) AIN457 treatment may significantly improve moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis on the hands, feet and nails, Phase II data shows.
