After Hours News:
Alcoa (AA): FQ2 EPS of $0.06 in-line. Revenue of $5.96B (-9.4% Y/Y) beats by $130M. Shares +0.9% AH

NeoPhotonics (NPTN) +17.2% AH after stating it expects Q2 revenue to exceed a prior guidance range of $55M-$61M (the consensus stands at $58M) thanks to strong demand for a variety of optical component products. The news is a welcome change of pace for an industry struggling to deal with soft telecom capex and price pressure. FNSR +1.1% in sympathy.

PriceSmart (PSMT): FQ3 EPS of $0.52 misses by $0.08. Revenue of $506.8M (+17.5% Y/Y) misses by $4M. Shares -5.1% AH.

WD-40 Company (WDFC): FQ3 EPS of $0.57 misses by $0.04. Revenue of $87M (+1.8% Y/Y) misses by $4.8M

Mako Surgical (MAKO) implodes after setting lower sales guidance for 2012. The company says that after getting off to slow start for the year, it now expects to sell only 42-48 RIO systems during the year - instead of the 52-58 called for in prior guidance. Shares -33.7% AH

AMD -5.7% AH after warning it expects Q2 revenue to fall 11% Q/Q, well below a guidance range of +/- 3%. AMD blames weaker-than-expected distributor sales in China and Europe, and the impact of poor consumer spending on sales to OEMs. Archrival Intel (INTC) has already seen a raft of estimate cuts, and downbeat commentary about PC demand has been easy to find
