Biggest Stock Gainers 1/9/12 January 9, 2012

During regular trading hours, there were many stocks that continued to break up to the upside. Below is a list of some of the story stocks to watch for January 09, 2011 

Con-way Inc. (CNW) retreated 4.9 percent to $28.62 and lost 5.2 percent earlier, the most intraday since Nov. 16. The U.S. trucking company was cut to “hold” from “buy” at BB&T Capital Markets.

Inhibitex Inc. (INHX) soared 141 percent, the biggest gain in the Russell 2000 Index, to $23.80. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (BMY US) agreed to buy the Alpharetta, Georgia-based biopharmaceutical firm to boost its position in hepatitis C medicines.

Other hepatitis C drug developers also rallied. Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IDIX) surged 35 percent to $9.50. Achillion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ACHN) jumped 14 percent to $9.
