AT&T (T) ends its bid to acquire T-Mobile (DTEGY.PK), taking a $4B Q4 charge for "break-up considerations." The two plan to enter a "mutually beneficial roaming agreement." T shares -0.5% AH, but Sprint (S) - which would have been relegated to a junior league carrier if the deal went through - shoots higher, +8.8%.
Red Hat (RHT): Q3 EPS of $0.28 beats by $0.02. Revenue of $290M (+23% Y/Y) in-line. The company's deferred revenue balance reached $819.6M - up 20% Y/Y but less than 1% Q/Q. Expect this figure to receive some scrutiny. Free cash flow rose 41% Y/Y, to $85.5M, well above net income of $55.7M. RHT -10.3% AH
