Symantec (SYMC) announces Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies is acquiring Symantec's 49% stake in their Huawei Symantec JV, which provides security and storage hardware, for $530M. SYMC +1.3% AH
Assured Guaranty (AGO): Q3 EPS of $4.13 beats by $3.77. Revenue of $1.4B (+10% Y/Y) beats by $1.1B
It looks like Warren Buffett is officially comfortable with investing in tech: Bloomberg reports that, in addition to acquiring a stake in IBM, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) has taken a position in Intel (INTC). INTC +0.9% AH
LDK Solar (LDK) drops 9.9% AH after issuing a major warning for the second straight quarter (previously). LDK now expects Q3 revenue of $460M-$470M, well below a $616.9M consensus. The company is also guiding for 2011 revenue of just $2.2B-$2.25B, compared with Street expectations of $2.5B. (JKS warning)
Mitek Systems (MITK) are trading lower in the post-trading session after its FQ4 revenue meets estimates, but its EPS falls short of estimates.
