China September CPI +6.1% Y/Y (in-line) vs. +6.2% in August but +0.5% M/M vs. +0.3%. Food prices +13.4% Y/Y, non-food prices +1.1% Y/Y. PPI +6.5% Y/Y (6.8% expected) vs. 7.3%. Since inflation is still high, few analysts believe China will ease policy any time soon

S&P cuts Spain's credit rating to AA-minus from AA, with a negative outlook, citing "high unemployment, tighter financial conditions, the still-high level of private sector debt, and the likely economic slowdown in Spain’s main trading partners."
