Micron Technology Inc. (MU) gained 5.4 percent to $5.22, the highest intraday price since Sept. 30. The largest U.S. maker of computer-memory chips was boosted to “buy” from “hold” at Citigroup Global Markets Inc.
Netflix Inc. (NFLX) advanced 6.5 percent to $124.82 for the second-biggest gain in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index. The mail-order and online film-rental service reacting to customer anger, retreated from a decision to split its mail-order DVD service from its Internet streaming and will continue to run both from a single website.
Oshkosh Corp. (OSK) rose 4.3 percent to $17.37 and touched $17.44 earlier, the highest intraday price since Sept. 28. The biggest supplier of armored trucks to the U.S. military said union workers voted to reject a second five-year contract offer. Talks will continue, the Oshkosh, Wisconsin based-company said.
