Q2 Productivity and Costs: -0.7% vs. -0.5% expected and -0.3% preliminary. Unit labor costs 3.3% vs. +2.4% expected and +2.2% preliminary.

China August PMI 50.9 (51 forecast) vs. 50.7 in July, says the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing. HSBC's survey pegs August PMI at 49.9 (49.8 flash reading) vs 49.3. HSBC says employment conditions and output rebounded to above 50, signalling expansion.
