August flash French Services PMI unexpectedly rises to 56.1 vs 54.2 in July. Composite PMI rises to 53.6 vs. 53.2 prior. Manufacturing PMI falls to a 25-month low of 49.3 vs. 50.5 prior.
August flash German manufacturing PMI 52.0 vs. 52.0 in July and forecasts of 50.8. Services PMI slips to a 25-month low of 50.4 vs 52.9 prior. Composite PMI falls to 51.3 vs 52.5 prior. Euro +0.8% vs. the dollar following the news.
August flash eurozone manufacturing PMI falls to a 23-month low of 49.7 vs. 50.4 in July and forecasts of 49.5. Services PMI slips to 51.5 vs 51.6 prior. Composite PMI unchanged at 51.1
