Barnes & Noble Inc. (BKS) rose 17 percent, the most in the Russell 2000 Index, to $13.41. The largest U.S. bookstore chain posted a smaller loss in the first quarter, helped by demand for its Nook e-reader, and forecast a $150 million to $200 million sales boost after the liquidation of competitor Borders Group Inc.
CoreLogic Inc. (CLGX) surged 24 percent, the most in the Russell 1000 Index, to $10.89. The seller of property and credit data hired Greenhill & Co. to help consider options including a sale.
Dollar General Corp. (DG) increased 3.8 percent to $35.06 after reaching $35.49, the highest intraday price since November 2009. The biggest dollar-store chain in the U.S. said sales in 2012 will rise as much as 14 percent, up from a previous forecast of no more than 13 percent.
Limelight Networks Inc. (LLNW) rose 9.7 percent to $2.72 after surging 19 percent, the most intraday since Feb. 15. The software maker sold its EyeWonder advertising unit to DG Fastchannel, Inc. (DGIT US) for about $66 million in cash.
