After hours update 9/6/11 

Nvidia (NVDA) is up 7% AH after the company establishes FY13 (year begins on 1/30/12) revenue guidance of $4.7B-$5B, above a $4.45B consensus, along with gross margin guidance of 51-53% Nvidia expects both its graphics and mobile processor businesses to drive growth.

VeriFone (PAY): FQ3 EPS of $0.49 beats by $0.03. Revenue of $317M (+21% Y/Y) beats by $18M. Shares +2.3% AH. 

Altera (ALTR) is down 3.9% AH after the chipmaker warns Q3 sales growth will be in a range of -3% to +1%, compared with prior guidance for +2% to +6%. Altera blames weaker demand in several markets, including its key Telecom and Wireless vertical (outside of Asia). Archrival Xilinx's (XLNX) shares are nearly unchanged AH.
