Though its Q1 revenue miss wasn't as bad as rival First Solar's, SunPower (SPWR -3.2%) is following the market lower. Probably not helping is its guidance for Q2 revenue of $575M-$650M and EPS of -$0.20 to -$0.05, largely below a consensus of $638.9M and -$0.05. Caris thinks SunPower faces "an uphill battle for profitability." But Citi, which just turned bullish on solar, is pleased with SunPower's gross margin, and expects the company's modules to maintain a price premium.
