James River's (JRCC +15.3%) better-than-expected Q2 is pulling other coal names higher: Alpha Natural (ANR +16.3%) is bouncing after yesterday's earnings-induced loss; also ACI +12.1%, BTU +7.3%. But the reaction could be premature; a key to a potential coal rebound is China, and a recovery there isn't seen until H2, so coal may not see any big gains until early to mid 2013.
