Rare earth stocks give up much of their big early gains that followed a report of China hoarding the materials as prices continue to fall. Upon closer scrutiny, little is known about how much is going to stockpiles, whether exports will cease, how China would get prices up without foreign customers and whether it will exempt Chinese end-users.
