Bernstein thinks Intel's (INTC) purchase of $375M worth of patents from InterDigital (IDCC +28.9%) amounts to a good deal, noting Intel's price of ~$220K/patent is well below the $750K/patent paid for Nortel's IP last year (ed: of course, not all patents are created equal). Deutsche, meanwhile, thinks the deal bodes well for Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), which has tasked RPX (RPXC) with monetizing its ~29K patents and applications, and thereby improve the company's liquidity situation.
