Crude
oil prices have been
surging recently, and there is little
sign that the momentum will be
slowing down. Every time crude oil
reaches these types of elevated levels,
it seems that interest in
alternative forms of energy also rise.
Solar is one type of alternative energy
that gets particular attention, and
should be on investors' radar going
into 2014.
Below these are the Solar stocks I am follow on 2014.
Canadian Solar called top sector pick at Roth Capital
- Canadian Solar (CSIQ -0.2%) is holding up far better than most of its peers as Roth Capital calls it a top pick among solar stocks, raises its price target to $50 and boosts its Q4 revenue estimate to $508M from $444M; earnings projections don’t include projects coming in line that could drive gains even further.
- Projects in Canada and Japan are solid, and CSIQ enjoys a "diverse geographic project mix and limited exposure to China,” where recently there has been confusion surrounding the government’s overall installation targets, Roth says.
