House scraps vote; deal now in Senate hands
"It's all over. We'll take the Senate deal," says
a senior GOP aide after House Republicans abandoned a plan to bring their own
bill to the floor.
"Senator Reid and Senator McConnell have re-engaged in
negotiations and are optimistic that an agreement is within reach," says a
spokesman for Sen. Reid.
