March Nonfarm Payrolls -4/5/13

March Nonfarm Payrolls: +88K vs. consensus +190K, 268K previous (revised from +236K). Unemployment rate 7.6% vs. consensus 7.7%, 7.7% previous

More on Nonfarm payrolls: January and February payrolls are revised higher by a combined 61K, taking some of the sting out of the big headline miss. Average workweek +0.1 to 34.6 hours. Average hourly earnings little-changed at $23.82. The labor force participation rate slides to 63.3% (lowest since 1979) from 63.5% - there's your headline unemployment rate decline

S&P 500 (SPY) futures -1.3% following the big miss for Nonfarm Payrolls. Treasury prices soar, the long bond up a full point and a half. TLT +2%. Crude oil tumbles, USO -1.5%, and gold flies, GLD +1%
