Tessera (TSRA) +5.7% after guiding for Q3 revenue of $66.5M-$69M, soundly above a $60M consensus. Tessera's chip IP licensing business is expected to post revenue of $53M-$54M, nearly even with Q2's $53M. But its DigitalOptics unit, which provides camera modules and autofocus tech for mobile phones, is expected to see sales jump to $13.5M-$15M from Q2's $8.4M.

Werner Enterprises (WERN) provides a disappointing Q3 forecast, now expecting earnings of $0.33 to $0.36 per share. Street expectations were for $0.44 per share. The trucking company said it was negatively impacted by cost increases for driver pay, rising fuel prices and higher equipment maintenance costs. "These costs are increasing faster than our revenue per mile," The company said in a statement. Shares -8% AH
