Molycorp (MCP) +5.3% AH after announcing the start-up of operations at its Project Phoenix facilities at Mountain Pass, Calif., which will produce heavy rare earth concentrate to be processed into high-purity, custom-engineered heavy rare earth products. An on-site combined heat and power plant will begin feeding power and steam this week to the facilities
Phillips-Van Heusen (PVH): Q2 EPS of $1.25 beats by $0.05. Revenue of $1.33B (flat% Y/Y) in-line. Shares +2.8% AH
Shanda Games (GAME): Q2 EPS of $0.19 beats by $0.02. Revenue of $178.7M (-14% Y/Y) misses by $4M
Zynga (ZNGA -6.4%), which had rallied modestly in August following its post-earnings bloodbath, sold off into the close. A recent Bloomberg report detailing new executive defections could be weighing. Eric Bethke, who was in charge of Mafia Wars 2, has disclosed he left this month, and a source claims mobile VP Ya-Bing Chu and GM Jeremy Strauser have also resigned. All of this backs up reports of poor morale and a "flood of resumes" from Zynga developers.
