Zumiez (ZUMZ) rises 11.7% AH after reporting same-store sales grew 10% Y/Y, and total sales grew 18.1% Y/Y, in December. As a result of the strong holiday performance, Zumiez now expects revenue of $180M-$181M and EPS of $0.57-$0.58 in FQ4 (ends in January), above a consensus of $176.8M and $0.54
Mosaic (MOS): FQ2 EPS of $1.40 beats by $0.12. Revenue of $3.01B (+% Y/Y) beats by $460M. Shares +1% AH
Sirius XM (SIRI) gains 2.2% AH after stating it will end the year with nearly 21.9M subscribers, exceeding its prior guidance. The year-end figure represents a Q/Q increase of 540K subs, and a Y/Y increase of 1.7M.
Seagate (STX) jumps 6.1% AH after stating it expects FQ2 (ended in December) revenue of $3.1B-$3.2B and FQ3 revenue of $4.2B-$4.5B, well above consensus estimates of $2.8B and $3.6B, respectively. Gross margins are also expected to surge. Seagate was expected to profit handsomely from its minimal exposure to the hard drive industry disruptions caused by Thai flooding; now we know how much. American Greetings (AM) authorizes a $75M stock buyback. Shares +2.6% AH.
Hot Topic (HOTT) says holiday comp store sales were up 1.2%, and narrows guidance, now expecting Q4 EPS of $0.17 - $0.19 per share versus previous guidance of $0.16 to $0.20. Street expecations are for $0.17 per share. Shares -0.7% AH
Netflix (NFLX +11.4%), which soared today after releasing encouraging streaming data, drops 1.5% AH after Verizon (VZ) states at a Citi conference it has no interest in acquiring a streaming services provider. A rumor had previously surfaced that Verizon was eying Netflix.
