Stock index futures are sharply higher - S&P 500 Sept contract +1% - as a deal to raise the debt limit appears within reach. The greenback is solidly higher against the safety currencies - the yen and the swissie, but lower vs. the risk currencies - the aussie and the loonie. Treasury yields are marginally higher
